Bobbye Mills is a native of Monroe Louisiana, a graduate of Southern University at Baton Rouge La were she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in real estate. Ms. Mills worked for Exxon Company USA for 13 years before leaving to start her own business in 1992.
Bobbye Mills became a license real estate broker in 1990 and has served as the broker of record for the past 30 years at Summit Properties-BJMILLS. She supervises a total of 6 independent contractors and 1 staff person.
Mills earned a Master of Architecture Degree in Community Development in May 2012. , she has served as a housing consultant and Project Manager for the Houston Area Urban Community Development Corporation (HAUCDC). Under her leadership HAUCDC now owned and developed more than 332 units in the past 5 years. Ms Mills has built more than 24 units of new construction and continues to work in the construction industry. Bobbye Mills has served as the local board president of the Houston Chapter, Regional Vice President for Region XII and Board Member for the National Association of Real Estate Brokers and currently she is the chair of her local board and once her tenure ends, she will remain connected to the organization to serve underserved communities.
